The sewing and embroidery workshop for vocational activities is part of the Implementation Cycle of the SOLIDARITY HEART Mission In Cabo Delgado – The Sustainability Circle will be based on: creation of livelihoods, inclusion, self-sufficiency and economic and social sustainability of displaced families and reception, in Cabo Delgado.

THERE ARE NO CHANGES WITHOUT COMMITMENT AND THIS IS THE ONE WE HAVE CHOSEN.

This initiative aims to collaborate to the development of employment and business opportunities and to promote sources of income for families of internally displaced people as well as host families in situations of vulnerability, extreme poverty, and economic and social exclusion.

“In response to the humanitarian emergency plaguing Cabo Delgado province, maritime contractor Van Oord, as part of the implementation of its social responsibility plan, provided financial support to support the quality scale and productivity of Atelier da Makobo, for training and employment opportunities, to benefit IDPs and host families affected by the impact of the insurgency. The support consists of the donation of 20 (twenty) electric sewing machines of “BERNINA” brand, and 5 (five) supplementary motors, to support the business development and training of more than 200 women.” Van Oord (Maputo 11.02.22).
