SOLIDARITY SOUP

The Solidarity Soup is a strategy to build an alternative basic social service for the insertion and training (personal and professional) of individuals in extreme poverty, in a context of social exclusion, simultaneously promoting awareness-raising actions on the drama of malnutrition and chronic malnutrition of a large part of the Mozambican population. It also seeks to mobilize support for accessing and improving the quality of education and health in our country.

Objective:

Identify, train and integrate disadvantaged individuals in programmatic activities, aiming to promote skills so that they are able to contribute in a supported and sustainable way, to the satisfaction of their basic needs, and ultimately contribute actively to economic and social development from the country.

The Solidary Soup, offers daily about 2600 soups,  benefiting mainly children, the elderly, the disabled in needy families, ensuring that they have at least one decent meal a day.

Location: Neighborhoods and needy communities in the City and Province of Maputo.

Schedule: Every day from 14:00 to 21:00.

Catering:06:30 – 9h30

Distribution phase I:​ 10:30.

Distribution Phase II:​ 18:00. KAYA – Home for Everyone. 

SCHOOL LUNCH BOX School Meal

Nutritional support initiative aimed at underprivileged children, aged between 3 and 17 years old, living in slums, attending public primary education in Mozambique.

Objective:

⭐ Combat Malnutrition, chronic malnutrition and illiteracy.

⭐Improve the performance and school retention of underprivileged children, from 6 to 17 years old, living in slums.

⭐Contribute to the reduction of malnutrition and chronic malnutrition rates in Mozambique.
⭐Basically, it consists in allocating, on a daily basis, a School Meal composed of:

⭐ 1 (one) soup;

⭐ 1 (one) bread;

⭐1 (one) juice box/cup of milk;

⭐1 (one) fruit/fruit salad.

In return, parents and educators should plant:

⭐1 (one) fruit tree;

⭐1 (one) shade tree;

⭐1 (one) moringa tree;

⭐1 (one) vegetable/vegetable patch
